From/To Reporting Not Showing Any Location Codes [AutoCAD Electrical]

I am attempting to use the Reporting features of ACADE to help me in my work flows but I am having an issue with the first report that I am trying to run.

I would like to know what wire numbers have a specific LINETYPE used within a project. I originally thought that I could perhaps run a report to look at the places were a certain LINETYPE was used, but that doesn't seem to be possible.

So, my plan was to create a new layer in the project, place the wires that I want onto it and then in the report generation for From/To, set it up so that the WLAY1 was in the Fields To Report and I could then see which wire numbers were all on a certain layer.

However, I cannot get the From/To report to generate anything. Pics are attached to show what I am looking at here. Thanks for any help.

That did it, didn't even think to try the (??) just assumed that wasn't going to work. Now I see I have to Create/Edit a wire type then it will show up in that report that I can generate. Thanks!

With that said is my method the most direct for what I am looking to accomplish?

-I have multiple drawings within a project
-Certain wires within those drawings all need to be accounted for on a single drawing within the project for connection points from the machine to the MCC once installed in the field.
-I have made separate layers for the (3) types of wires that I would like to keep track of.
-Now when all of my drawings are done within my project I can run that report and it will spit out what wire numbers are located on which layers and I can use that information, exported to an excel file, to then create my interconnection drawing.

Is there a way that ACADE would do that automatically for me? If I were to create a sheet with a bunch of non-numbered wires within the project, then once I added a wire to that specific layer on any sheet within the project it would automatically populate it on the interconnect sheet?

Would your interconnect drawing be a one-line drawing?

And then again, arent' all connections between locations (location code/enclosure) cables? How about using cable markers? Then you could just get a cable from/to report.

Do you have an example of what you're trying to achieve? It's a little bit easier for me to help as I'm kind of "visual".

Send me a PM or e-mail ( t h l @ c t r l a l t e l . c o m ) if you don't want to share here.
