Please tell me if I have missed something,

in Autocad Electrical, out-of-the-box,is there no way to build a symbol that requires only cross referencing? No N.O. No N.C. contacts, just straight up cross referencing.

Did you try making a custom symbol omitting the contacts, terminal connections and any other attributes you don't want, while including the XREF attribute?

I can't try it right now, but pretty sure I have done this with both parent and child symbols in the past.

i'll give this a try. but i have the need for symbols that range in 24 to 52 points that maybe used throughout the project that need crossed referenced, us that something you might have had in the past?

It seems like you're trying to create a symbol that shows where the different connection points of that symbol is actually used? Just like Eplan?

yep! i used eplan before, if i knew then what i know now i MIGHT NOT have pushed so hard for ACADE.

i might have come up with a work around creating a symbol starting with Source and Destination.

it might work for our 24 and 58 pin control plugs, but i wish someone much smarter than me would come up with PLC cross referencing
