Copying Attributes

I noticed that you could copy the attribute value of TAG1 into another attribute value COPYTAG01, by using the %T in the Prompt field of the COPYTAG01 attribute. I was wondering if there was a way to copy any attribute value into another attribute value using the same method.

For example:
I have a special 3-Pole Fuse Block. I have the RATING1 attribute shown in the center of the first fuse. Is there a way to copy the value of RATING1 into an attribute in the second and third fuses?

Thanks,
Justin

This is exactly what I would like to know also.

I tried putting RATING1 in 3 times and that did not work.

I tried COPYRATING and COPYRATING1, similar to the COPYTAG function and that didn't work. Is this what we need?

How do we copy RATING1 from L1 fuse to L2 and L3 fuse?

I have attached my custom schematic symbol for a 2 pole Fuse Holder, "HFU13_3PhaseFuseHolder"

I have utilized the COPYTAG attribute and that works perfectly. In a perfect world we would enter a fuse as a multiple catalog item, it's RATING1 TEXTVALUE would set the L1 fuse rating, RATING1 automatically. Then the L1 Fuse rating, RATING1 would be copied to positions representing the fuses for L2 and L3.

JSWiler did you ever figure anything out?

Ideas anybody?

Your only option is to add more attributes, with different names, and populate them with TEXTVALUE.
If the fuses are parent symbols.
If they are child symbols they should automatically inherit the RATINGX values from their parent symbol.
