I have cables drawn with catalog info and ratings defined for wire colors. For example, a 889D-F4AC-10 cable has a color code BRN, WHT, BLU, BLK defined in the catalog. I set the parent symbol color (RATING) to BLK and define the remaining wires using the child cable symbols. If I later need to change the cable length and select a 889D-F4AC-5 cable, the wire color also changes and reverts to BRN. Is this normal behavior? Shouldn't the software see that I have used the BRN wire and not change the already defined wire color? Is there any way to fix this?
