BOM Report Quantity off

AutoCAD 2016

Why would a count be off so far in a report? There should only be one, not 3416.

Hi, I would try two things right off the bat.

1, use the surfer dude to find all instances of the block in you project.  If that physical count is what are expecting something else is going on.

2, take a look at the Catalog Record (see attached) and make sure there is not a goofy value in the Count box in upper right corner.

Tim

Good luck, please mark this if it is a solution.

Don't forget to check the count box in the Edit Component dialog box in the dwg as well.

One way to get to that window is this, in ACE 2014

Insert or edit tool for component.  At the Insert/Edit Component widow click on the Lookup button.  The Parts Catalog will open, this my take a few moments depending on your system and setup.  If the part you are woking with is already in the catalog it should be highlighted.  In the upper left corner of the widow there are four icons (on my setup anyway).  Hover the cursor over the icons to see a hint as to thier function.  Take a little care here.  The Add button will use the hightlighted record as a templete to add a new component to the Catalog.  The Edit button will allow you to change an existing record.

Good luck
