Door/Window Display, call-outs, and directional

1. How do you automatically insert a directional arrow in a door or window component to indicate the operation. The example I included is for a pocket door but can you also do it for double swing, sliding patio doors etc? to further, indicate only one (operational) side if needed.

2. Can you automatically add the door/window size to a component. If so, does it update when you change size? For example 2868?

Last, Is there anyway to clean up a pocket door to remove the wall shading for the width of a door to show the recess? (See example PDF)

Thanks!

1.  You could add custom display blocks to add directional arrows to the plan view of Doors.

2.  A Schedule Tag can be created that will display the width and height of the Door, in the format you reference.  An old example of such a tag can be found here:  https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autodesk-architectural-desktop/residential-door-tag-posted/m-p/497462...

I do not know of a way to mask a stud component hatch at the pocket of a Pocket Door.  Perhaps someone else does.

I see there are directional arrows for some doors in the Style Manager / Display Properties under 'Direction'. I see you change layers, colors, etc, but looking to change the display of the arrow itself. Can this be done or do I need to turn off 'Direction' in Display Properties and add a Custom Block with my own arrow?

I notice that when I add a custom block to a double pocket door, for example it also adds that same custom block (arrow) to my single pocket door.

I still need to understand adding tags to windows and doors a bit better. Are there any videos or direction on this process?

Thanks

If you intend a custom display block to show for just one Door Style, then you need to add it to a style-level display override; if you add it to the drawing default display level, it will show for all Doors (without a display override).

Schedule Tags are part of the Schedule feature, which also includes Schedule Tables and Property Set Definitions.  You might start with this Help topic, and then follow through the links on that page as well as any links on the linked pages:

You can find additional information on Schedules and Schedule Tags in the links in this blog article, although the information there is not structured in any way.
