Yellow Triangles!!!!

I have walls in my drawing that cleanup totally properly.  I copy and paste the building into a block our cad guy set up that we use to help create elevations and also show the building on our plot plan.

The first time I paste the walls into the block they are fine.  However, if I go back in and add/delete or change anything in the drawing the yellow triangle all of a sudden appears on all my walls.

Why is this and how can I stop this from happening?  They show up everywhere and even print on the plot plan.  The only way I have found to get rid of them is to Redefine the block but then I have to copy/paste everything all over again.

Welcome to the community!

I am not fully clear on your workflow.  Are you cutting the Walls to the clipboard (removing them from the drawing in which they were drawn), or just copying the Walls to the clipboard (leaving the original Walls in place)?  Does the "block" into which you paste the Walls exist in the drawing with the original Walls?  Is it offset from the original Walls, or located in the same location?

Getting cleanup triangles on every single Wall suggests that you have (at least) two copies of each Wall, on top of each other.  Can you create a sample file using your workflow that exhibits the issue and attach it to a reply here?  Seeing the actual file would help sort out what the issue is.

Cleanup triangles also should not plot.  It will be helpful to note what version of AutoCAD Architecture you are using.

Hi David,

Thanks for the response.  Everything is done in the same drawing.  The walls are drawn and then copied into a block that is offset (not in same location as original walls). The block exists in the same drawing though.

Funny thing...I went back into the block again and the triangles had disappeared.  Go figure!

Next time it happens I'll try to get a screen cap and maybe include the file.

Running Autocad Architecture 2016.

Thanks again!

I've gotten a yellow triangle before when doing something unorthodox with a copy of a wall. A regenall fixed it. Maybe that was all it needed as a restart fixed it.
