Unable to change floor to floor height from mm to feet in ACA

using Autocad architecture 2016 Global, while defining floor to floor height Unable to change default setting in mm to feet.  I have changed dimension setting under option from mm to feet.  all drawing files have been changed to feet, except in the project setting.

It sounds like you are intending to work in Imperial dimensions, is that the case? If so, you can change the profile from Global to US Imperial in the Profiles tab in the Options dialogue box.

1. Type OPTIONS into the command line
2. Select the Profiles tab
3. Select Architecture (US Imperial)
4. Click Set current

Does that solve your problem? If not, could you post the file so we can determine the best solution?

If you are just starting a project, use the profile suggested by @Kevin.Palmer.  In order to do that, you must check:

1)That the Imperial content has been installed.  This is necessary if you don't see the profile listed. If the profile doesn't exist, run the installer again and add the content package.

2)That you launch the project with an imperial template (stb or ctb based). The built-in templates use inches rather than feet as the unit, which is recommended for imperial work.

You should be using inches as units, not feet if you want feet-inch dimensions. Do not use feet unless you want to do surveying or civil work and need feet.decimal feet format.   Since AutoCAD Architecture is not optimized for Civil work, that is not advised.

Usually, you use "Add or Remove Programs" in the control panel.  Launch the installer from the list and choose to modify or add features.

Agree that the solution is to install imperial stb,ctb and .prj files. At the time of initial installation imperial files are not installed in architecture global

Under windows 10 under apps and features uninstall option to modify is disabled by default. When I run install now Autodesk architecture 2016 application it goes into complete installation mode option to modify/ change is not there.

I have installed student version, not sure whether this feature by default not included in the installation.

Try the following process found in Some content folders missing in AutoCAD Architecture or AutoCAD MEP for updating the profiles. I have also attached a screenshot of what you should be seeing when you go into the Uninstall menu. 

Uninstall the affected content pack(s):

• From the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features > double-click the affected program (AutoCAD Architecture 20xx or AutoCAD MEP 20xx).
• Choose Add or Remove Features.
• Uncheck the affected content packs.
• Choose Next, then Update.

Then reinstall the affected content pack(s):

• From the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features > double-click the affected program.
• Choose Add or Remove Features.
• Check the affected content packs.
• Choose Next, then Update.

If this doesn't work or is grayed out, it may have something to do with your permissions on your machine. In that case, I would recommend logging a case with us so we can take a closer look at where the problem is occurring.

Windows 10 was written by at least one moron.  You push the "uninstall" button to run the "installer".  I don't know why the modify button is greyed out. It's possible that the ACA installer doesn't meet all the Windows 10 installer requirements.

There is no need to uninstall anything however unless you don't need it anymore.

Thanks for the response, some of the imperial files are not installed in autocad architecture 2016, I have changed the profile settings to architecture and to inches , the drawings get changed to imperial, when I open a new project to define levels the .apj file loads template project (global ).apj project file for imperial is absent the template directory.
Since this problem could not be resolved without imperial.apj file found work around solution, opened project file without templated , opened properties file and changed common view template and view template to imperial sbt files the problem got resolved, not sure is this the work around solution
This issue must be resolved by auto desk, when I tried logging case, since the autocad I installed was student version, option for email support has been greyed.

Why are you using ACA 2016 as a student and not either 2018 or 2019? 

You can't just accept the default new project template. You must browse for an Imperial project template or must set up the project by using the edit project button. If you added the imperial content via install, then there should be a separate set of template folders for imperial templates and content. 

Without paying for ACA, there is no AutoDesk obligation for any kind of support.  Your best support source should be your instructor.
