Turning off roof edges - URGENT

How He!! do I get the roof edges to turn off in my roof plan? I created my
roof, then created a roof edge style that is a fascia (which is the gutter)
and a soffit (which is a fascia, soffit and frieze). I went into the
display properties of the slab and turned off the fascia and soffit,
thinking this woudl do the trick - nothing.

My roof plans all have the lines of the soffits in them, even though the
soffits are below the roof, and I can't seem to turn them off. The owner,
who doesn't understand cad, is miffed at me. I've attached a dwg file with
the roof in it.

TIA!!!

Zen and the Art of AutoCAD Architecture

Step 1: Take deep breaths and imagine it the way you want it. Maintain that breathing and imagination until you feel good again and the frustration is gone. 98 times out of 100 the answer becomes clear in that more relaxed state.

Step 2: Do battle with the display manager.

Here's your file back. I turned off the Fascia, turned off the Soffit and turned off the Below Cutplane Shrinkwrap.

One thing to experiment with is the "select component" on the right click menu. Once you click that it will ask you to select component. Click on any linework governed by the display system and then move to the properties palette and it will tell you what is controlling that linework's display and allow you to change it on the fly. Very nice feature to help avoid those frustrating moments.

I realize you got a work around but thought you might be interested in this solution. I create a fascia layer and a soffit layer in "Layer Manager" then go to display properties in the Roof Slab Style and change "Fascia" to the layer I created and so on. Then, by turning the layers on or off I control the display of with one click of the button. I hope this helps- if I understood what you were wanting to do. Good Luck!
