Scaling a generic Smart Door

Hello all.

My boss has asked me to modify the standard (I'm assuming) Autocad Smart Door so that (in plan) when you change the size of the door, the hinge side stays put and the opening side is the one that moves, no matter how the door is flipped.  I'm looking for this for the Hinged Single,  Bi-Fold Single, and Sliding-Double.  I've Googled for quite some time and have yet to find anything. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have a door already in a wall and want to change the size, instead of changing the size in the properties, click on the door then the arrow on the side of the door that you want to move and type in the new door size. It will move that side smaller or bigger depending on original size and leave the other side where it was. I'm not sure what else you want it to do that it doesn't already do by itself.

Might be worth asking again if you are not sure.

gotphish001 - I know about dragging with the arrows and typing to go past the set distances.  I was hoping for a solution typing in the properties so I don't have to click on the arrow.  Also so I can select similar and change multiples at once but holding the hinge side still.

pendean - I will double check but am pretty sure it is the generic versions which come with CAD.  I have made a few modifications to them though.

It is all in how the Door is placed.  If you place the Door with the Position along wall property set to Offset/Center, the the anchor point will be the jamb closest to the intersecting Wall for offset Doors and the anchor point will be the center of the Door opening for centered Doors.  Note, however, that for offset Doors, the anchor point could be at either the hinge or the strike side of the Door, depending upon how the Door was placed.

If you place your Doors with the Position along wall property set to Unconstrained, you can then set the desired Justification:  Left, Center or Right.

You can adjust the anchor point after placement by selecting the Door and then choosing the Anchor worksheet on the Properties palette.  The Position Along (X) are in the upper left and the X Flip toggle at the lower right are the specific areas of interest in this case.
