Inaccurate point placement with polar tracking, DYNMODE, OSNAP combo

Is there any update!?   Same issue as Steve Bethel in 2011.  ( I am using ACA 2017).  However,  My line command  is and has always been docked.  Further inputting initially worked in ACA 2017 as all respondents to Steve's post expected, and I use heavily, but has mysteriously now stopped working.  The issue is with dynmode turned off, using tracking to initiate, locate or track an entity to a move location or start point breaks with keyboard input or breaks when 'straight line' x or y coordinate is near, so second placement point is not accurate.  Or initiation point is random.  Please tell me some one has fixed this!? or found a solution other than having dynmode on?

ps to this even with dynmode on I cannot move to a grip, or osnap located input using tracking- as the new point nears the tracking breaks- very frustrating.

It's not broken. I've never had an issue and I use polar and object snap tracking regularly. I have heard of people with similar difficulties. You might want to look at the APERTURE system variable.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

It works with dynmode on.   I don't like the additional boxes, but I guess I will get used to them.   It is a file not of my creation and is an absolute z coordinate mess.  It is a huge file so flatten will take as long as building a new pyramid.  But I believe some aspects of this have to do with z coordinates being all over the place- literally.  However I tried with dynmode off on a drawing that is z coordinate clean and dynamic input only works with dynmode on in that file ,too.  Perplexing things is 2 weeks ago this worked with no issues and dynmode off.  I have a pretty routine work flow, introduced nothing new as far as I know.  I have no clue what happened to alter the way the program works now, from how it worked then.  I will get a video.  It's like there is just a gap or disconnect with dynmode off when keyboard inputting a distance.

See the correlation yet?

DDSETTING command, DYNAMIC INPUT tab, set what appears and what does not appear when Dynmode is on there.

Dooh!!  ( Homer Simpson)   DDSettings > polar tracking :  set polar angle measurement to  "Relative to last segment"  instead of "Absolute"  now works as it used to and as I expected.  Both mentioned files   Thanks a ton.  Generally it is a relatively easy tweak, - easy unless you just don't know.   Guess I won't need to do the video.

By the way I have Object Snap Tracking Settings set to " Track using all polar angles"  I also have the Polar angle settings populated with  45, 90 135, 225, 315.   Maybe I really don't need those.    Also, experimenting with the Z coordinate mess - the break or gap disappears when the coordinates of the entity and my selected "from point" (or grip) are the same.   My Autodesk update wish list is for a much speedier and more robust Flatten command or way to get everythjng to 0, Z fast.    Also discovered the Z coordinates stem from working off a civil 3D drawing, truly 3d -used as the base for a vanilla 2D plan or drawing - in case anyone is interested.  Thinking of asking to be able to flatten that file next time, before any design work,  to eliminate as much issue as possible
