Project Navigator Palette Not Displaying

Project Navigator Palette is not showing after creating new project in Project Browser. Attempts to click on Project Navigator Icon nor entry in command line - still not showing. I'm using Autocad Architecture 2021.

It could be "open" but off screen.  It could also be docked but 1 or 2 pixels wide.

Try this:

  1. At the command line, type CUI and press the ENTER key.
  2. Verify that the Customize tab is set current, and that the dialog is fully expanded.  There is a round button in the lower right corner of the dialog.  If the icon on the button is a less than symbol ("<"), you are good.  If it is a greater than symbol (">"), select the button to expand the dialog.
  3. In the upper left pane, Customizations in All Files, verify that the drop-down list near the top is set to All Customization Files or Main Customization File.
  4. In the upper left pane, expand the main customization file node (probably called "ACA" - although if you are not using the out-of-the-box main customization file, yours could be called something else), and under that, the Workspaces node, if they are not already expanded.
  5. In the upper left pane, select the current workspace, which will have " (current)" after the workspace name.
  6. The upper right pane will now show the current workspace's contents.  Select the Customize Workspace button in the upper right pane.  The listed contents will change from black type to blue type.
  7. In the upper right pane, expand the Palettes node.
  8. Under the Palettes node, select the Project Navigator item.  You may need to scroll down to find it.
  9. The lower right pane now shows the Properties of the Project Navigator.  You will need to change one or more properties; what to change will depend on the current settings.  Look at the Orientation property.  If it is set to Floating, change it to Right.  If it is set to Left or Right, change it to Floating.
  10. Set Allow Docking to Yes if you changed Orientation to Right.
  11. Turn off Auto Hide, if it is on.
  12. If you changed Orientation to Floating, make sure that the Height and Width values are of some reasonable, "see-able" value, at least a few hundred each.
  13. In the upper right pane, choose the Done button.
  14. Select the OK button to accept the change and dismiss the Customize User Interface dialog.

Is the Project Navigator now visible somewhere on screen?  If so, you can reposition it as you desire.  If you do move it or otherwise change its orientation or docking status, I would save the Workspace to be certain those changes will be saved.

I was following your instructions until I arrived at number 8.

I do not have a Project Navigator item in the list at all.

No Project ManagerNo Project Manager

I'm working in Autodesk Autocad 2021 on Windows 10.

The Project Navigator palette is a feature of AutoCAD Architecture, not AutoCAD.

@coldwhitefire this forum and all posts are relevant to the software called AutoCAD Architecture.

Plain AutoCAD users have no features discussed here. BUT... if you are on a current subscription of AutoCAD you can switch to this variant anytime you want for free. Ask your bosses for permission to do so.
