Only the Express Tools menu is showing in AutoCAD Architecture

Good morning everyone, I'm getting a little desperate because I only do this routine every 5 years or more and I end up forgetting how it's done. When loading my menu bar only the Express menu appears, all the others are gone, File, Edit, Modify, Tools… I've been here for a while and I can't find the solution. Anyone on that side available to help?

thanks!

There have not been any of those menu pulldowns in AutoCADARCH for many versions now: you are thinking of plain AutoCAD perhaps, the profile (and separate CUIx menu) you are NOT running at the moment in AutoCADARCH.

Welcome to the community!

Are you using AutoCAD Architecture or just vanilla AutoCAD?  What version?

What exactly did not work for you my friend? Read this, you have to perform a "transfer" if that was not as far as you got to

ACA.cuix is the main customization file that ships with AutoCAD Architecture.  There have not been any menu bar pull-down menus in it since ACA went fully to the ribbon.  If you install the Express Tools, its CUIX file has one pull-down menu, so if you set MENUBAR to 1 to turn on the menu bar, you will have the Express pull-down menu.  Third-party add-ins may also have a pull-down menu.

If you followed the instructions in the article to which @pendean linked and transferred the Menus from the ACAD.cuix file to the ACA.cuix file, then they should be available.  Perhaps they were added to ACA.cuix, but not added to your Workspace?  I just did a quick test in ACA 2023, and transferring the Menus from ACAD.cuix to ACA.cuix added them to the Architecture workspace, which is the only workspace I had.

Double-check that MENUBAR is set to 1.  The menu bar will not display if it is set to 0.

The menu is empty to transfer (there is no pull-down from the Menus)...I
understood now that the menu was a thing of the past...and only the Express
tool comes at the bar...?

@DesignHouseAD AutoCADARCHITECTURE has not had a pulldown menu in quite a few versions now. What tools are you hoping to find in a pulldown exactly?

Do mean the main toolbar across the top of the screen?  Right click the empty gray area to the right and a pull down menu will appear.  Click on DISPLAY TABS and you'll see a list of tool palettes you can display.

You are very kind, thank you for your effort. There is no menu to display.
I have use Autocad since Autocad 12..I understand what you mean, it is just
there is no menu when you pick the "+" symbol that displays...It is ok. I
know how to work without it...I just wanted to have it.
Thank you!!!

I keep thinking this is just a matter of a system variable.  Have you tried just typing RIBBON in the command line?

Go to OPTIONS> PROFILES > CHANGE to AUTOCAD US or any another > Click RESET. Now go back and add MENUBAR from the drop-down Quick Access Toolbar.

@jhedhy The old-school menu bars (MENUBAR is the command name too) are non-existent in ARCH versions of AutoCAD (the topic of this post that you did a "me-too" reply on).

Are you sure that's your actual issue? They have not been around in a long time. Do you need to switch profiles to get plain AutoCAD and those menus to appear?
