Make changes to mirrored object independent from original

Hi there,

I am new to autocad and i have no idea how to make changes to the mirrored Block without affecting the Block that the mirrored version is made of. I am trying to change the color of a door, but whenever i try to do that in the block editor, it automaticaly changes the original one as well.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

You can't but you can use bedit to save the block as a similar block.  You should also look into using dynamic blocks.  Why are you posting in the AutoCAD Architecture forum.  If you are using ACA, use AECdoors instead.
