This has frustrated me since around ACA2015>
Selecting an AECSpace(s) and ACA freezes for maybe 4 seconds.
Sometimes a fresh start and no freeze. Select with other items, no freeze.
It's something to do with the properties pallete display, close it and no freeze so it has to do with gathering data.
Why does it take so long to find the info it needs to display?
Since slabs suck (very slow and cumbersome to edit) I use spaces for lots of flat slabs (paving, garden beds, lawns, other flat surfaces for illustrations etc) I constantly have these pauses.
If I select two different styles of space, no pause. It seems to be about the actual physical info for that slab.
I don't find anyone else complains about this so I wonder if it's something about the way I use them, tho I can't understand anything unusual that would cause this.
