Issue with Dimension Scale in AutoCAD

Hello,

I recently installed AutoCAD for the first time on my laptop, but I'm facing an issue where the dimensions appear much larger compared to my previous laptop.

What could be the solution to this problem?

@mai_elsherbini_12 you don't show dimension object types as defined in AutoCAD. You simply show text that just happens to be a distance measurement.

What did your IT person or friend offer as the reason?

Did you go from a 4k display to a lower QHD display?

If I understand what your images show, the numbers are reporting the X and Y coordinate values of the current location of the cursor.  You have the cursor farther away from 0,0,0 of the current UCS on your new computer, as opposed to your old computer.  The open drawings appear to be empty (at least in the area shown on screen) and likely show different parts of the drawing relative to the origin point.

I am not certain what problem exists here.  If you create a drawing with some content, open that same drawing on both computers, Zoom Extents, and then check the coordinate values at the cursor, are they of the same order of magnitude then?

It sounds like your issue might be related to the dimension scale settings in AutoCAD. Sometimes when you switch computers, the default scale for dimensions doesn’t match your previous setup, which makes them appear much larger or smaller. You can check the DIMSTYLE settings and adjust the scale factor to match your earlier setup, or use the Annotation Scale feature to ensure dimensions display correctly across different drawings. This usually fixes the size discrepancy without affecting the rest of your design.
