Issue: application window overlaps second monitor

autocad overlap.PNG

We thought this was a video card issue, (ran through everything graphics/display related) but its only with autocad that this overlapping window happens while the application is maximized. All other applications work fine.

What is happening, is when the application is active on the LEFT SIDE display, it overlaps onto the right side. When I select something on the RIGHT SIDE display it goes away. It doesn't matter what is on the right side display. It is about 1/8" wide.  It happens all day every day, only with autocad. Working with Autocad Architecture 2020.

See attached image. that little black gap is the overlap of Autocad onto the second monitor.

What could be causing this.

I didn't find something that works to fix it, kinda.
I just maximize and minimize my window two or three times after I start a new instance of AutoCAD. It goes back to normal on the second or third time. Not sure why it does it. But this works to fix it. Now I look like the wierdo walking down the hall flipping on and off light switches as I walk by them.

I also began having this issue with Civil 3D after upgrading from 2019 to 2022. It never happened while using 2019, but consistently occurs with 2022. It looks identical to the image attached to the OP.

Toggling between "restore down" and "maximize" does fix the problem, but only temporarily. Sometimes it will even reoccur while in the same instance of C3D.

I am running Windows 10 with 2 monitors set to "Extend these displays". I have an NVIDIA Quadro P4000 with the latest drivers installed.

Have you installed the 2022.1.2 Update yet? required. ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022: reverting to DirectX11 helps some users.

If all else fails, start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....
