How can I make AutoCAD Architecture the default version when opening .dwg files?

I recently reinstalled AutoCAD after a long period of not using it, and I found out that the programme now has a version specifically made for architecture (maybe it already had it, I have just never seen it before).

Whenever I try to open a specific file however, it opens it using the standard AutoCAD profile, even when I do it by right-clicking the Architecture version on the taskbar to show recent files. Is there a way to set a default profile whenever you open a .dwg?

What do you mean? I'm trying to make it so that when I click on a .dwg file, it automatically starts AutoCAD Architecture instead of just the normal version of AutoCAD. Right now, I have to open AutoCAD Architecture first, and then click on the recent file from there. Are you saying that this is the only way to do it? If not, I don't understand what you are trying to tell me.

If you want to work on a file in a particular program, start the program and use the open file dialog within the program. It's not only a common practice but it is considered best practice by many, especially when you have multiple programs that can work on the same files.

By default, AutoCAD will remember the last profile used. Just open ACA and then close it. The next time you double click on a dwg file, it should open in ACA.
