FATAL ERROR Invalid Configuration path\filename:

  This error is occurring for a number of Active Directory users who are logging into a PC LAB with 30 desktops. We have over 200+ students whom use it and I can figure out why some work and some dont!

Welcome to the Autodesk Community, and thank you for posting your question here in the AutoCAD Architecture forum!

There are a couple of documented solutions for this problem here on AKN. Have you tried the suggestions in any of these?

• Error: "FATAL ERROR: Invalid Configuration path\filename" when launching AutoCAD
• Fatal error: Invalid Configuration path\filename when opening AutoCAD
• Could not access network location or Invalid Congifuation path after Deployment Server is changed

It seems odd that it happens to some users and not others, if all things are equal in the lab environment. Give these a go and let us know if they point you in the right direction!

Hi Victoria, 

Thanks for your time and attention on this issue I have been experiencing. 

I have tried only a few solutions that you have offered, but I users are still experiencing this issue. 

I believe that somewhere, a certain setting is affecting my roaming profile issue. 

I will follow up as soon as I can. I hope that one of those solutions do work!

I can suggest an extremely helpful tool to resolve such issues is LongPathTool. Thank you.
