Fatal error crashes autocad 2018

Hi,

 

Since I have updated my AutoCad Architecture product from a 2012 version into a 2018 version I got every half an hour a fatal error message: FATAL ERROR: Unhandled e06d7363h Exception at aaaf3c58h. (Chech the included picture.)

 

During activation I had some troubles aswell, I couldn't connect to the autodesk server, therefore I was not able to activate my product. By disabling my internet security (kaspersky) I managed to do so. But while working in AutoCad, the help function failed to open.

 

I hope one can help me with this problem.

Hi @Anonymous

 

You can run a repair on AutoCAD in case it didn't install correctly or has become corrupt:

 

  1. On the Start menu (Windows), click Settings > Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, double-click Programs and Features.
  3. Select the Autodesk product, and then click Uninstall/Change.
  4. When the installer launches, click Repair.
  5. Follow the prompts to repair the product.

Also a copy of the installation log file might be helpful for us to see what issues you had installing, please see these instructions:

Hi Frank,

 

Recently an update was released for AutoCAD Architecture 2018.  The update name is AutoCAD Architecture 2018.0.2 Update.    Please let us know if you have already installed the update.  If you have not installed the update, I suggest to install the update and verify the issue.

 

Also, did you get a chance to submit the Crash Error reports?  If yes, could you please share the email address entered in the Crash Error reports?

Hi Mark,

 

I've run the repair tool, hope this works.

To be truely honest I can't find the installation log. Do I need to hit "%TEMP%" in the installation folder, or the c:\ drive?

I will install the update, and whenever the program crash again I will notify you with the corresponding emailadress.

Hi @Anonymous

 

If you open your windows start menu and type "%TEMP%" and hit enter it should open the correct folder for you.

Hi @Sridhar-Autodesk,

 

I followed the same steps at my colleague's pc:

 

1. repair

2. update to 18.0.2

 

But his pc keeps crashing, I sended a raport with the email: franklevi@frank-ruiter.nl.

I hope you can help me?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any reports from the email you mentioned.  Is it possible to send few more reports with notes as "For Sridhar" using same email address?

 

Is the crash happening on specific drawing or random?  If it is specific drawing, can you send us a copy of the drawing?
