Drawing walls etc in 2D

I am drawing a floor plan using AutoCAD Architect 2018.
 
When drawing a wall or windows etc, AutoCAD automatically renders it in 3D. How can I do it in 2D only?

What's the challenge exactly that you wish to avoid? Or are facing? AutoCAD Architecture is designed to create models by design, not flat lines that are disconnected from all other aspects of what you are drawing.

Look at it from the top, not from another angle. It is then "rendered" as truly 2d in whatever level of detail you want.
