copyclip and pasteclip commands don't work

I copy or cut to clipboard and when I paste, nothing happens, i.e. a blank. no error message.

Did you try copy and paste in another application?

Did you try a restart of your computer?

Is this withina single file, or two files?
Is the problem in one file, or ALL files, even if you start a new file and draw a few things to copy/clip?

Look at the commandline: which is failing, the COPYCLIP or the PASTECLIP function?
