Convert space's ceiling to mass object for IFC export

Hi,

I'm using the ceiling heigt of spaces to create an adaptive ceiling in AutoCAD, this offers me also to easily export ceiling heights from the parameters.

Anyway, I'd like to export the model to IFC to check for conflicts and for that I'd like to have the ceiling of the space either visible as ceiling in the IFC-Viewer or converted to a mass object before I export it.

I know that there are some conflicts ;-)I know that there are some conflicts 😉Any idea how I can export it to be readable by a random IFC-viewer?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Only way I have found to do this (not saying the only way!) is to make the ceiling with a space but 0 thickness to floor and use Properties>Elevation (not ceiling height) to control the height. You still have an AEC Ceiling but would have to make a duplicate (no ceiling) space for the floor.

Thank you for your help. It wasn't possible to change the elevation of the spaces in our case, as they were auto-generated (or therefore associative, don't ask me for the exact reason). Anyway, we had to go with the mass objects as ceiling in the end. I'll try to work a way out for the future and post it here if I find something. Thank you!
