AutoCAD Architecture not snapping to objects correctly

I have recently installed 2019 and I am having issues with OSNAP settings not working as they should - when I go to draw a line and start it on the end point of an existing line for example, with end point OSNAP permanently on in the  settings, the Autosnap marker appears as it should and magnet is on, I left click to start the line and for some reason it begins it slightly off the end point. This doesn't happen everytime, but it does occur quite often. It also occurs with all other OSNAP options (Perp, Mid point etc) too. Snap, grid, ortho & polar are all switched off.

Hopefully somelse has had this issue and knows a solution.

Several of my collegues have recently upgraded to 2019 too but they don't have this issue, however they are running Windows 10, whereas I'm still on Windows 7 - could that be the issue? I'm due to get this upgrade next month, but I need a quick fix for this now if possible.

Thanks.

Ok, thanks.  It's not a Win 7 issue in that case.

Not seeing any issue like that in ACA2019 in Win10 here.

But since you say "sometimes" and "not always", I suspect this may be a simple case you your cursor moving before you click and are simply missing.

It's definitely not a case of me moving the cursor too soon. I have been working on the same drawing in 2019 on a colleagues PC this afternoon and had no issues, but when I return to my own PC and the same drawing (along with other drawings) the issue returns.

This issue has only started since I upgraded to 2019 from 2017 last week

It needs to happen more often than not and we all have to experience it for it to be a defined software problem: since no one else in your office has it but their PCs are somewhat different, this may be more like an I.T. issue than anything else.

Good luck.

It would appear that the issue may have been a faulty mouse! I recently installed a new one and and everything seems to be working ok now (hopefully). It's a bit of a coincidence that it decided to stop working correctly at the same time I had 2019 installed, but there you go.

Thanks for your help.

One of the people in our office is having trouble with his OSNAPs as well.  He doesn't even get the marker.  If he moves the cursor around the line enough times it will eventually show up, but it takes four or five passes with the mouse to get it to display.  Running Window 7 and ACA 2019.  We have swapped out his mouse and checked all OSNAP settings.  I am running the same software and hardware, but I don't have the problem.

Turn off hardware acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG command on that PC and see if the video problem goes away.

That solved it.  Thank you.  Now I need to research why his graphics card is giving him trouble with 2019.

found the option to add ET in programs and features... shame on Autodesk for burying this.
