Autocad Architecture 2019 - Title Mark not working

Hello,

Doing some testing on the new Autocad Architecture 2019 and discovered that the title mark no longer works properly.

I tried this test in a new template drawing, and linking to a brand new sheet, and an old project that was already set up and the behavior was the same.

I have placed an image (one in paper space sheet, and the other in model space.  You can see that the original title works just fine, is named exactly the same.  In the new title tag, it does not fill in the information for scale, or the view number, and the title information is filled in but is not a field any more.

Thanks for any help!

I have some more information on what is happening on the title mark.

Both title blocks seen in this example are the same block, the one that is working was inserted in Autocad Architecture 2018.

It appears that the Field that is included as part of this title block is not getting mapped (or remapped) correctly one it is placed into the drawing.  It retains the data as seen in the image below that is linked to the "SheetSetPlaceHolder".  The title block that works is remapped to "SheetView" and the correct information once it is inserted into the View.

The same behavior is happening for the "ViewNumber" and the "ViewTitle".  See images below.

This is fixable, but it going to create a large amount of work for every instance that we insert a title, and then have to remap the info to the proper field once it is inserted.

Any help is greatly appreciated!   Is there a system variable that is having this effect?

Thanks,

Jim Van Cleaf

Just discovered another behavior with the title mark that would cause us a bit more extra work.

I used to be able to update the information in the tag by selecting it and dragging the tag over to the Project Navigator and on top of the model space view that I had created to enable me to quickly "re-link" the information in the title mark.  This saved us lots of time on really large jobs by allowing us to get a plan sheet set up in one view drawing, and then copying the view drawing and creating new views for different type sheets.  All I had to do was to create a new model space view and "re-link" the title mark with the new view.

I know this all sounds like it is a minor issue, but for our firm this would mean a lot of repetition to insert new title marks into the drawing, and currently have to link the fields to the proper data location as well, or type them all in by hand again.

Is there anybody at Autodesk that can help with this issue?

Thanks!

Having the same problem. Filed a support request six days ago but

have received no response from Autodesk.

I've dumped Aca2019 into file 13 and gone back to 2018.

We are having the exact same issue.  When dragging tag to Model Space View in project browser, the mouse pointer appears as a circle with a line through it.  This also applies to dragging to a Sheet view. Autodesk please fix.

This is really holding up production as we have to go back and use ACA 2018 to do all tagging until this is resolved.

Hi @jlvancleaf,

Thank you for reporting this issue to Autodesk Technical Support. I've tested and confirmed the issue in AutoCAD Architecture 2019. I have not, however, found a workaround for the issue.

I've logged this with the development team and recommended that we address this in an update to the software as soon as possible. They will review the issue now and determine if we can do that.

I'll return to the thread and post any updates here if I receive any (regarding workarounds or an update to address the issue).

Any update on this issue?  This is a real problem as we've been working with fields for years and now none of them work.

The solution suggested under the initial comment works, but is incredibly time consuming.  Can we send invoices to Autodesk for the time lost due to this problem? (Joking, but seriously...)

WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED!!

It is incomprehensible that you could issue this version of Autocad Architecture with this scale of an error.

Are we ever going to get a fix for this?

We are facing the same issue, and this completely ruined our ability to produce our views as quickly as before. Also, the ViewTitle attributes are completely out-of-whack, with NO SOLUTION BEING PROVIDED. Autodesk, start paying attention to these minor details, AND TO YOUR CUSTOMERS, this is embarrassing!

Luckily our Archicad production is going smoother, might as well fully jump over!

Hi @jlvancleaf,

This morning the development team released a hotfix to address this issue. You can find and apply it here:

Note: Make sure that AutoCAD Architecture 2019 has the 2019.0.1 update installed before applying the hotfix.

Almost forgot, there was a minor error in "step 5" with the pathing of where the installation folder is located.

It should read "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2019\ACA", the "ACA" part was missing in step 5, but showed up in step 7.

Thanks again!

Good catch, @jlvancleaf!

I'll let the development team know and see if we can update the ReadMe.

Well, this is fixed but now dragging of detail components from the drawing to palette for tool creation appears to be busted. Only way I can get it to work is by dragging directly from the detail component database.

Can anyone else confirm this is now a problem?
