I have a wall will multiple components timber frame, cladding and GIB. The cladding has a cavity gap of 20mm from the frame. For some reason this dimension string is dimensioning the cavity. WHY???
i cannot get this dimension string to NOT dimention the cavity on ONE side only, the otherside is fine. SO BIZZAR. I have attached a cad file to demonstrate. Essentially i want it to dimension to the timber frame and exclude all other components...
Right.. Ive managed to figure out a solution for all those that need to simply dimention to the frame ONLY and not any other items within the wall. Ive had to add a couple dummy components and play with structural members, and styles.. please find attached the solution.
hope that helps for anyone in the future. Not the best but it solves a couple of frustrations
