Adjust Viewport Boundary

I have two files. With one file, I can stretch one vertex and keep the viewport rectangular, which means the other vertex move as well; However, with another file, I can not do the same - when moving one vertex by stretching it the other vertex doesn't move along therefore the shape can't stay rectangular. Turning on/off orthomode doesn't help. I don't know what I should do in order to keep the viewport rectangular while stretching one vertex.

Greetings @hliS658H

The screenshot you provided is a custom shape viewport converted from a polygon shape most likely, the other that does not behave like that is the stock default MVEW default rectangle that only acts as a rectangle all the time.

If you want the one in the screenshot to act like a rectangle only, you need to use the grips in the middle instead of the edges, you know, just like when editing PLINEs as they have always behaved
