3D sloped curve

Hi all !

I have been using autocad for a long time. These days I have to produce a 3D plan that I do very rarely. Usually, I'm doing pretty well. For the current project, I can not imagine how to draw in 3D a curve that is to be sloping. See my attached drawing. This is a small path between the house and the sidewalk . There is a 24 "slope between the beginning and the end.

Please help me !

Thanks in advance !

you better change UCS  - make new one , that sloped between two planes

Currently in my example I used by 3 point.

And I check update view plane when UCS changedplane.gif

Thank you so much Brian !

Another question !

Is it normal, as soon I change the view, I lost the UCS I setted ?

Yes? but you can save this view like standard"top","bottom" etc/and can back to it view when you wish
simply after you have changed the view rename it and it appears in standard views3Šŗ3.jpg

Hi Brian !

Me again Smiley Wink

With your technique, I can draw in the right UCS, but I cant reproduce the same thing as my sample (DWG). I would appreciate that you demonstrate it to me like this morning with a small GIF.

Thank you very much in advance !

You mean you can't follow your line-work?

check " Replace Z value with current elevation"

Some minutes after posting I have got, you want exactly projection of line to the sloped plane . well I cant do it very fine but result pretty well
In this case changing of UCS in viewport not necessary
you need only to change EXACT ucs!

in gif I forgot to check" replace Z value" after I have changed UCS - it is better to check

Hi Brian !

As per your last GIF, I got the same thing as I follow the first one...

Is it normal that the curved polyline is snapped on my linework below, check my drawing please...

Thanks again !

...or with this version, the island is not snapped on the same level, when you check in the left view

Thanks !

this happened because you don't turn on " replace Z value with current elevation"

just turn it on after you changed UCS and the problem gone away !!

" replace Z value with current elevation" it is like snape to plane of UCS

If you try to change UCS with turning on "replace Z value with current elevation" you trying  will definitely fault

also turn OFF 3D snap

use just 2d snap
