2018 linetype, line weight drop down

I've just upgraded to AutoCAD Architecture 18 (previously AutoCAD17) and the ribbon has changed a bit meaning some of my most used commands are now missing.

Most notably the drop-downs which quickly and easily select the linetype, line weight, etc. which used to be located just below the layer drop-down.

The only way I can find of having these options on hand is to have the properties window constantly open which just fills up my screen with a previously unused window.

Is there any way to restore the drop-down menus back to the home ribbon?

The items you describe have never been part of the out-of-the-box ACA.cuix Home ribbon tab.  You were either using a customized version of the ACA.cuix file, to which these controls were added, or you were using the ACAD.cuix as your main customization file, which does have those items as you noted.

This blog article describes how you can create a Properties panel of your own, and then you could choose to add it to the Home ribbon tab in the ACA.cuix file.  Or, you could use the techniques covered to either add a Properties panel or to customize the Layers panel directly in the ACA.cuix file.  I like to keep my customizations as separate as possible, to minimize the time needed to bring them forward to a new release, so I would create the panel in a partial customization file of my own, and only touch the ACA.cuix to add the panel.  But you may prefer to do everything right in the ACA.cuix file.

I created my own menu MyStuff.cuix and added that whole tool bar from acad along with some other items.  This way it's completely separate from what Adesk does with the menus and I can load it as a separate item.

I went to the blog and could not find any info. I need the drop down menu for line types as well. The post says to create your own, but I don't know how to do that.

@csteinkeR8GHQ To create a dropdown menu in modern versions of AutoCAD

1) you start CUI command, and create a "new command" for each linetype in the NEW COMMANDS section (aka name to select as well as what actions are going to take place using -LINETYPE command and whatever else you want this command to do
2) then you go to the MENUS entry in the section above in CUI's pop-up, expand it, create a new menu (give it a name etc.), then you drag-drop each of your recently created "new commands" up to it.
3) click the APPLY button on the CUI command.
4) Now go to the WORKSPACES section of the CUI (above the MENUS entry), select your current/active workspace, select it. On the right-side you want to select CUSTOMIZE WORKSPACE, and ensure your new menu is selected on the left side.
5) APPLY button on the CUI pop-up again. Then OK out. Then manually save your workspace with WSSAVE command.

OR... just drag/drop your linetypes into ToolPalettes, or access then through ADCENTER from your template file, that's way easier.
