proberties dialog box

My properties dialog box doesn't show the attributes of any objects I have
selected. It acts like I don't have anything selected at all. Can anyone
help with this? Thanks.

One cause of this is the PICKFIRST variable. Set it = 1.

I seem to be having the same problem you have had. The Objects Properties dialog box will not recognize any object I select. If I pick an object first, I get a blank dialog box. (My pickfirst variable is set to "1".) If I open the box first and then select an object, the box displays "no selection" at the top. I can use "chprop" at the command line and change some properties of an object, but it is not as convenient as the dialog box. Have you made any progress in getting you box to work?

Well great! I just started to have the same problem. My properties Dialog box has stopped functioning and my pickfirst is still set to 1. I use this box quite a lot and would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

OK. When you install Inventor 4, (trial or full), with Acad 2000 you lose your functions for the properties box. I found the answer on the Inventor help site, (not in the Acad site), and you have to do a reinstall of Acad 2000. Not a full install but just a file fix. Took me three hours to find the answer; 15 minutes to fix. #@%##~**%^

Still had to make sure that my toolbars, etc. were backed up.

;o)

Finally.
