Well, Vray uses the PRG-Clear sky model and Redshift will be implementing their version of PRG-Clear Sky in the next update. It just offers better look especially at sunrise and sunset.

The PRG model seems to have a much larger and more intense sun at the lower angles which in turn gives a nice look on interiors. I've tried but I can't replicate this at all in Arnold.

+1 for some upgrades to the native Arnold Physical Sky Shader

Just to link the V-Ray docs, the option for cloud shadows is amazing:

(while this wouldn't likely be used visually being replaced by a matte painting- saves having to always create light blockers / gobo)

 

In combination with this, what would also be incredible:

1) Being able to see the resulting sky shader in the viewport.

2) Viewport controls to move the sun position while the sun haze still corresponds correctly etc.
