The below screen shot shows a red tube behind a frosty orange glass over a mirror.  The red tube is correctly blurry, but the reflection of the glass shows a sharp red tube in the mirror.  Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug/limitation.

The transmission triggers smart opaque, so the frosted glass becomes non-opaque. And then the specular rays go straight through and you get a sharp reflection.

I used a rayswitch to work around that...

Hey Stephen,

Thanks for the quick reply.  I think I get most of what you are doing.  Can you clarify, what kind of a node is default1 in your screenshot?

They are both standard surface shaders, one with the frosted glass preset, and the other with the default values.
