URGENT! Arnold Renderer aborts for unknown reason

Hi there,

This is a bit of an urgent request as I am currently working on a thesis film for school in maya!

Every time I try to open Arnold > Render in Maya 2024 I get this issue :

// Warning: WARNING | Aborted by user: unknown reason

This all started when I tried to add a ramp to a shader's colour and Maya 2024 crashed. Since then, I ahvent been able to open arnold. I tried restarting my computer, reinstalling Maya 2024, testing the renderer on different scenes, turning off 'abort on error', changing from GPU to CPU. Nothing is working and I dont know how to fix this!

Curiously Arnold continues to work on other versions of Maya installed on my computer (2023, 2022 etc) I'm not sure what happened with 2024 and am at a loss on what to do next! :(((

What version of arnold do you have? Have you tried upgrading arnold (a release just went out yesterday)?

Reinstalling Maya gives you an older version of  MtoA, the MtoA that shipped with Maya.

The latest MtoA was released just yesterday, and is available from your Autodesk account (look under Extensions).

If you still have problems, increase the Arnold log verbosity (Diagnostics tab, Render Settings), and get a log for a render of an empty scene.
