SSS color issue

sss_origin.jpgsss_shift.jpg

As you can see in the image attached, after I move the geometry 10000 unit form the origin point, the sss color just changed, and I found that if I swicth the subsurface type from randomwalk to diffusion, sss color will keep the same  result.

my mtoa version is 5.3.1, arnold core is 7.2.1.0,the sss_albedo color is correct,I think there's something wrong with the subsurface radius.

Thanks for reporting your version. There were some related improvements made in older versions that I wanted to rule out were not the reason for your issue. It sounds like you're hitting an unfixed issue caused by numerical precision error. This is tracked internally by ARNOLD-7792. In the meantime the main workaround would be to move your scene so that the hand is closer to the origin. One way is by using the offset origin explained in https://help.autodesk.com/view/MAYAUL/2024/ENU/?guid=arnold_for_maya_system_am_Render_Settings_html
