Blur shader

Hi,

 

I have a head mesh and an eyeball, I would like to use a plane which blurs (blend) the tear duct with the eyeball. A plane where the shader blurs everything below the plane, and I can control it by a mask. I have a working solution, a good shader for this in Unreal Engine which do the same. How can I do the same in Maya Arnold?

Are you using sss_setname for both objects?

Thank you! I forget this method, however I used it in past.

However still I think an extra blur plane would help to the transition, because the textures are different, the eyeball is white.
