I'm working with displacement and every time I have this kind of message

Is there a way to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance

This is the message I receive

[disp] /Plane_1: padding is at least 1.48x smaller than it should be! given disp_padding: 0.099999994, recommended: 0.14848505

Look at the Bounds Padding parameter in the Arnold tag of your mesh. It should be set to the recommended value. Note that the value in the message is in Arnold units which is normally translates to meters (depends on your Export Scale setting).

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried it using the values shown in the log but this doesn’t solve

I’ve tried increasing the bounds padding but I receive always the same issue

Thanks

If the padding is bigger than expected, it's not a big deal, but if it's smaller it could cause artifacts, like the displacement is cutoff at the bounds. The log you posted says recommended: 0.14848505. That's probably 14.848 cm. If you set something around that, or a bit higher, you should be fine.

I’ve solved the problem. I Copy and paste the value in the bounding and then multiply it by ten until the error disappear

Thanks a lot

What Arnold reports is in meters, while Cinema 4D uses cm units by default, so you need to multiply by 100.
