Hi guys,

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I doing something wrong?

Even sliders are buggy during rendering.

R25

Thx

I don't see any problems. Which version do you compare it to? Are you on Windows or Mac? If on Windows, GPU or CPU renders? When you mean buggy, does it mean lagging? Or crashing frequently?

Could it be denoising? Since C4DtoA 4.7.1, the OIDN denoiser is automatically added to new scenes. You can see it in the render setting. Try to disable or remove it to see if the performance changes.

Hi, thx for replying and apologize for delayed reply,

The issue I'm having is laggy viewport during IPR. and laggy sliders during IPR. On both GPU or CPU renders

That lagging wasn't present in previous versions.

However, GPU bound rendering is a lot faster.

Im using W10 and R25.

Kind Regards,

Yes, you are correct, it was OIDN denoiser. And just that particular, other denoisers do not lag

I'm glad you have found the culprit of the issue. I still can't reproduce it though. Does the problem exist in a very simple scene, like a sphere with a shader and a skydome? Need high resolution to make it visible maybe?

The OIDN denoiser has an option to select the Render Device, which is auto be default. Does the issue persist if you change that to cpu or gpu?
