Perhaps an addition to the Check Model tool would be to make it so it could have a physical "ghost" of arrows pointing to where the short edges are on a model, which would disappear as they are removed/modified. This could be on the physical model in a "ghost" setting, similar to how cross sections remain until cleared from the cross section editor. But if you have removed or modified all of them, they would naturally disappear that way as well, until another Check Model looking for any is run again.
