Just thought that I'd share this tip to ease use of the Boolean merge, intersect, and subtract tools in Alias.
Typically I use the Duplicate/Object tool a lot using a negative flag (-) on the "scaling" values to mirror shelled geometry components. When you do this a shells surface Normals are also flopped which makes using Boolean operations maddening (like suicide watch maddening).
I recently found that using Duplicate/Mirror eliminates this issue completely, the resulting "mirrored shell" plays the same with Boolean operations as the original. No more endlessly flipping normals and trying every Boolean possibility to get what you want.
