surface offset control tool

Hello,

I would like to know if the new toll "surface offset contol" is even for "alias surface 2019" or only for "alias AutoStudio 2019" because I don't find it in my Palette window. Naturally I have Alias surface license.

Hi Nicola,

the "new" offset tool is hidden in Alias because right now the tool is not 100% finished. 

Via Windows environment variables you can activate it also in Surface.

The reason why this feature is not official in Alias is, because the actual offset tool is doing the same thing and the two new tools (curve offset and surface offset) are not 100% finished from development side. As long there are some effects in these tools they decided to hide the tool, which is in my oppinion the right way otherwise it will only create troubles 😉
