profile tool problems

Hello. Could somebody please tell me under which criterias the profile tool is picking the orientation in which the profile is build. What I mean is. I have two profile curves in space (not connected to the rail curve) and one generation curve.
So from now and then the problem occurs when building the surface that the surface will twist to some kind of x shaped self intersecting surface. I already checked the orientation of the profile curves and they show to the same direction. So i dont know what else could be the problem . Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry two profile curves and one rail curves is what I meant.

If there are several profile curves, they will always be oriented internally to get a common parameter direction. Maybe you have a special configuration, which is not yet handled correct. Hence an example (maybe a picture) would be helpful to improve the behavior.
