Timber Beams - Coating option missing

Timber Beams - Coating option missing

If you create a Timber beam, the dialog is not the same as for steel beams and is missing the coating field, which may sometimes be required.

...it is also missing the galvanising fields but I can live with that one :zwinkerndes_Gesicht:

I would have thought it would make sense to just use a common dialog.

I would create a new profil table for timber beams and add it to the mastertable, I'm sure you know, that you could set a material directly in the database. The result is the same like creating a timber beam, the only problem are the bom lists, but this could be corrected via the xml file of the bom list (there's a very nice knowledge articles: part 1, part 2, I would insert all beam which have "not" the role timber) or you also deselect the option for including to the BOM list and numbering

Of course there are many workarounds.

99% of the time the timber sizes I need require the creation of a new profile anyway and so have all the options of steel beams.

...but occasionally, if a timber size already exists, it would be nice to be able to use it.

...so my point in raising this issue is that now we specifically have Timber beams in the software they should be fully functional, else there is no point. :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:
