Prevent moving of compass and detail labels during detail update
Hello,
Per attached screen pic, when manually moved during detail clean-up, compass and detail labels are moving to their original position during detail update, requiring manual moving again and again after every update.
A partial solution is updating drawings from the opened drawing (Label &dimensions tab-update detail icon).
Avoid updating from the document manager.
This helps a little bit; but I absolute agree that Autodesk has to correct this issue (it is very time consuming editing again all the labels in every update.)
Per attached screen shot-if a compass mark is moved manually, and if a section view name is moved manually, and if a part label is moved manually, they move back to their original position during detail update.
And this is not the worst part.
This is the worst part-the manual moving of a compass mark actually initiates the detail update, even if no changes were made in the model.
As you can see the 'West' arrow, view name and parts labels all are messed-up after an update initiated by moving the 'West' arrow.
It was suggested in the past compass marks to be moved by using the grips-this is what was used in this case, but does not help.
PLEASE-Prevent these 3 elements from moving and please do stop compass mark of initiating a detail update.
This was submitted before, I will re-submit this every 6 months from now on until this is resolved.
