Eliminate "Force Update" for drawings

It would be a great time saver if we didn't have to perform a "Force Update" every time we wanted to see our drawings updated. Of course we want the drawings updated when we make a change, so why can't these updates be made in the background while we continue to work in the model? It's kind of nice that the Document Manager can remain open, but even that has its limitations with updates. I've also noticed that these Forced Updates take much longer in v2023. Thanks to the programmers for all their efforts!

really? I don't know any customer which want to auto update their drawings in the background. All wanted to know, which drawing, why this drawing and so on.
The most are asking for having an update report before updating their details 🙂

Really? That's a snarky way to start a conversation. Here is a more appropriate way to start this conversation:

I couldn't agree with you more. We spend a lot of time during the design phase developing the model and drawings. The regeneration process takes time, and manually regenerating drawings doesn't seem necessary, BUT, after the drawings have been released for fabrication, and changes are made, it is important to know which drawings changed in order to add revisions to those specific drawings.

That's a very good point Sebatian, thanks for brining that up. We certainly need the ability to identified revised drawings after they have been released for fabrication. I guess if many people need to constantly see which drawings are changing during the design phase then, a report document would be necessary to review, or maybe in the Document Manager there is a column with a date and time after each drawing, and as an option, the drawings can be sorted by date and time.  I am sure there are a number of clever ways that this can be accomplished.
