BETTER REVISION CONTROL
Hello,
I wish there were a way to remove a revision from several drawings at once. If you make a mistake in a revision on all your drawings it is taking too long to correct drawing by drawing.
Sebastian-No-this does not work, if we have done changes after the rev. is issued, and we always do, we will lose them, and we will have to do them again.
Try revving down 300 dwgs, scrubbed, polished and ready to go, and you will see what I am talking about.
This has been requested numerous times, even I think with the previous genius PM. Still no answer, still waiting.
The new management is a piece of joke, no hope on the horizon.
Yes, Please, it took AD a few years just to say WE WILL TRY TO IMPLEMENT-What about if we say " We may try this year not to pay our subscription" and move to the dark side?
AD has no reason to hide 😉, AD is directly afraid of users 😭, otherwise it is impossible to explain the unrealized reactions to user needs. Anyone on death cell has a better chance for some success.
This is due to the lack of accountability when you move to a subscription model the users are tired to a platform/product without any legacy support and therefore there is a lack of motivation to develop the product to encourage repurchasing.
On the maintenance basis, progression & improvements had to be demonstrated to prove its worth to move to the new versions.
Subscription = no payment - no access to the platform.
Maintenance = no payment – remain on current version.
The marketing BS around justifying subscriptions was to provide better financial support to fund development of AdvanceSteel. Unfortunately, it appears their financial/development focus is more on Revit and AdvanceSteel has completely stagnated, even to the point where reported and acknowledged bugs/errors are being deemed an intended feature or will be attended to in future versions without a clear due date. Therefore, these bugs/errors pose a cost upon us without any recourse or accountability for Autodesk.
Its an absolute disgrace, and contrary to consumer rights and affairs, but they are protected by scale and location, leaving their resellers copping the brunt of the complaints with them reluctant to pass on these concerns to Autodesk due to fear.
I agree with all the comments posted. The revision issue needs to be resolved ASAP. The request for modifying the REV number, description and so on, on multiple drawings was done by ACBS STRUCTURAL STEEL in 2016. As I can see this request is still waiting to be solved. It would be great if you people at Autodesk got stuck into fixing this request instead of trying to develop new features. I hope this can get resolved tomorrow, because it takes alot of our time changing individual drawings when you have lots of them.
