Add Option to Hide Based on Query in Project Explorer

Quite often I hide objects based on a query. The light bulb is great to isolate objects from a query.

How about adding another icon next to the light bulb that will hide those objects?  Currently, to hide those objects, we have to right click the query, click execute, click selection tab and click select all marked objects, click to quick views tab and click selected objects off.  6 mouse clicks to hide objects in a query. I want one click 😛

I'm not sure maybe about using the action recorder to show only a defined filter...

But I think maybe another way would be enough.

By using the double click on the filter, this filter search will be marked. So after this you only need a command for: select marked objects+only show selected objects+ unmark objects...this should not be really big problem.

So in the end you have a double click on the filter and then use this new command

I know not the best way, but for the point you need often to hide:

  • you could create a second query and activate the "not" checkbox

So the result will be, that all which is not you request, will be shown. I mean it will blow up the project explorer, but for the query which are used often, this could be a way.
