how to add a connection in the AS Spiral Stair?

maybe you clarify what you want to do?
the stair tread is bolted so, what do you want to change?

In the spiral stair macro you have these options in the "Tread connection" tab then you have a sub tab "Treads - outer stringer" see screenshot below
