I made a small change to our prototypes by moving one piece of attributed text into a new location. When I create new drawings, this change does not appear. It only appears when I 'update prototype' in the document manager. Why? - the prototype is saved to the same place with the same name. I expect it to appear as I want when I create a new drawing.
The second problem then is when I go to update the prototypes on all my created drawings, the program freezes. I have to remember to do them one at a time, which is a huge pain in the you know what.

Hi @dcubbedge
For the prototype after you have made the changes and closed the block you need to run the ATTSYNC command and choose the title block.
This will sync the changes to the block

For the freezing @dcubbedge
Have there been any Windows updates recently, could you check your C /ProgramData/Autodesk/AdvanceSteelVersion\ then click the build, right click, security and make sure you have Full Control & Modify for all Groups & Users (except CREATOR OWNER)
Is the model & drawings saved on a network, cloud etc, does copying to the C drive work
Are all Advance Steel & AutoCAD updates & hotfixes installed

Thanks Rob, didn't know about ATTSYNC....
The 'freezing' was a function of me trying to update 76 assembly drawings. I do have all Windows updates, all hotfixes, 32GB RAM....It worked fine when I did it in smaller batches - 10 drawings at a time, not 76.
