Profile Weight Adjustment

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where I can find a reference for the profile parameter value meanings?

profilepparameters.JPG

I copied a profile to create another. Everything is fine except the weight. I created a 1 foot length and checked it's properties. The mill certs I have say that this material should be 138.1 lb/ft.

So now I realize it probably calculates the weight based on surface area and values from whatever material grade I select.

I created this grade with values from A500-gr.B. I assume the Density is what I need to change but what exactly does that value represent?

I trial & error tuned it but I would still like to know what exactly that density value means.

The density is value which is set from the material. The density multiplied with the volume is the weight.

Nothing software special it is pure physics 😁

I guess this is why I'm confused...

What does the 4.54 actually represent?

I believe the density value (the 4.54 value) is in ounces per cubic inch.
