hi everyone.

i have a question. While you are moddeling different structures in one model. is there any way to separate them assigning a different partition for example? this could really be very usseful to assign specific material list separated by structures. I can't separate them because they are part of the whole proyect so they share drawing number, layout deffinition, etc.

If there's nothing in the standard Advance Steel properties that satisfies your needs, there are 10 User Attributes you can use to define a 'partition/area' of the site you can have as a filter

Accepted solution

Use the Lot/Phase option at the part level.

Enter a value for each "ModelA" objects and enter a value for "ModelB" objects and also tick the box next the this value.

The tick box will mean the numbering will take into account this value when comparing the parts and assemblies.

maybe additional to Stephan:

this property is also used for grouping in the BOM lists, so if you use a structured list, this lists will be grouped by the lot/phase.

You could also add this token in the process manager to be added in your automatic generated singlepart/ mainpart details.
So this is definitely prepared to use for those structures.
